I am neurodivergent and have been living with long covid for the last 3 years. Becoming disabled has deepened my work as a physical therapist.
I am hypermobile and have had multiple significant injuries throughout my life.
I have varied work experience including non-profit desk jobs, food service, hospitality, childcare, and have had periods of being unable to work due to disability.
I was an athlete as a child (most notably swimming) but I tend to dislike going to the gym (I don’t yuck people’s yum and can work on athletic goals, though it’s not my focus).
I love being in nature, cooking, listening to audiobooks, participating in collaborative community organizing projects (prison abolition, anti-racism, anti-Zionism, disability justice) , and spending time with my partner, kid, and our dog.
